Did you know that there are nearly 3,000 UNT alumni and friends that give a gift to the university every year? These committed donors are part of UNT’s new loyalty giving society, The Loyal Eagles. The Loyal Eagles is dedicated to recognizing UNT eagles who — by making a gift toward UNT for two or more consecutive years — advance the university’s mission, students, campus and community. No matter which area on or off campus they choose to support, their generosity plays a critical role in assisting the UNT community every year.

We are proud and thankful to have these Loyal Eagles amongst our UNT family. You too can become a Loyal Eagle by committing to an annual gift. Simply visit www.unt.edu/inspire and schedule your donation for annual installments.

PUSH Fund

Did you know there’s a program at UNT that aims to help students who were in foster care or part of the child welfare system? The program is called PUSH, or Persevere UNTil Success Happens, and it has made life-changing impacts on numerous UNT students. Founded in 2012, PUSH provides college students with the day-to-day essentials needed to help make their college experience possible. Not every student has a mom or dad they can turn to for help at college, but with the UNT’s PUSH program, they always have a family.

You can help the PUSH program by making a donation through the Annual Fund at UNT today. Follow this link and help us grow our family tree: https://one.unt.edu/giving/unt-general-donation-form?fid=fBryJc577JA%3d&fdesc=Baj4%2fSHd%2bmeQwPNTK2vhLimrb8s7SVJJ

We Mean Green Fund

You can make a green difference on campus through the We Mean Green Fund (WMGF). The WMGF is an initiative driven primarily by UNT’s student-body to fund projects aimed at reducing the campus’ carbon footprint and increasing its sustainability. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to submit their ideas throughout the year for increasing environmental sustainability on campus.

Projects funded through the WMGF not only promote a more sustainable future for UNT, but also provide educational opportunities for our students and visitors. Current projects funded through the WMGF include TAMS bike share, the UNT Tree Replacement Project, Big Belly Solar Compactors, and the Five for Five Project. With over 37,000 students (only roughly 9,000 of which receive scholarship aid) there are plenty of ways your generosity can make a meaningful impression. Scholarship support can be a large determining factor in whether or not someone is able to pursue their academic dreams—and you can be the difference maker. When you give back to UNT you give students an opportunity at success that may not have otherwise been attainable.

Together, we can build bridges for our students so they can travel down the road of success. Make your gift today to make a direct impact on tomorrow: www.unt.edu/inspire.

UNT’s College of Public Affairs and Community Service (PACS) has a long history of social entrepreneurship and community outreach. The Community Renewal Fund advances this philosophy to create a high-impact, social innovation fund to develop and implement bold ideas to transform communities.

Students, faculty and community leaders collaborate to create a proposal responding to a social problem in the community and annual awards support entrepreneurial initiatives to address issues such as aging, public safety, local government, homelessness, disasters, veterans’ disabilities, and many other critical areas.  The Community Renewal Fund has enabled the development of transformative programs on campus; including the Aural Exercise and Education Program (to facilitate the first-ever aural rehabilitation classes for people with hearing aids) and the Exploring Community-Oriented Solutions to Non-Urgent Pediatric ED Use.

image009Faculty and staff members at the University of North Texas spend countless hours helping students succeed in and out of the classroom. They are committed to what they do and are willing to take any steps necessary to ensure their students receive nothing but the best.

Their dedication to the UNT community is further proven each April when UNT hosts its annual We Care We Count Faculty and Staff Giving Campaign. This campaign gives faculty and staff a chance to give back to any fund across campus that they feel passionate about.

In 2015, more than 500 employees participated, helping to raise $375,564 — all of which assisted with scholarship funding, program support and student development. UNT is now excited to begin its 2016 campaign and looks forward to another year of generosity.
