UNT Commencement 2015

April 14th, 2015 Posted in Alumni News

UTN Commencement 2015Commencement marks a passage, the transformation from student to graduate. It’s the beginning of a new journey of discovery and the start of a lifelong affiliation with UNT as alumni. UNT will celebrate this milestone in new and exciting ways this spring, embarking on new commencement traditions that we hope will stay with our graduates for years to come. Starting in May 2015, UNT will hold a University-wide Commencement to celebrate our entire graduating class each year. This ceremony will feature a nationally known speaker, degree conferral and Jazz on the Hill pre-commencement celebrations. Graduates also will celebrate their academic achievements at Undergraduate College Recognition Ceremonies and Doctoral and Masters Convocation with Doctoral/MFA Hooding, enabling them to enjoy the more personal and traditional moments of graduation with fellow graduates from their program.

UNT graduates will show their green pride during commencement with new regalia that prominently features UNT green to clearly distinguish them as graduates of UNT, home of the Mean Green, and proud UNT alumni. Regalia also now differs by the type of degree a graduate earns — bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral — and there are different colored tassels to distinguish graduates by college.

UNT is proud to celebrate our graduates, who are newest alumni, with traditions that will forever bind them to their alma mater. Learn more about UNT commencement at
