How to get Involved

Join a team! There will be competing teams throughout both parts of the competition. Teams will be organized by class (2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017), transfer/non-traditional students, graduate students, international students, alumni and faculty/staff. Each team will be led by a captain who will help recruit and organize their team members throughout the process. Also, each team captain will choose a UNT-related cause to fundraise for, making sure all money raised supports UNT and its students. Registration is $10 and includes your very own Field Day t-shirt. With your help, Field Day could become a UNT annual tradition.

Part 1: The Philanthropy Campaign

Each team will raise money for a UNT-related cause, chosen by a team captain. Teams are encouraged to ask family members, table on UNT grounds and develop other creative ways to raise money. Each team will have a web page, hosted on the Student Affairs website, which can collect donations.

Part 2: The Field Day Event

On March 22, all the teams will meet up on a UNT field and compete in traditional elementary school activities such as three-legged race, football toss, etc.

The Golden Squirrel

The team that earns the most combined points during the fundraising and field day activities will receive the Golden Squirrel, a trophy commemorating their great contributions to UNT.
