About the UNT Kuehne Speaker Series on National Security
The UNT Kuehne Speaker Series on National Security is made possible by a generous donation from UNT alumnus Ernie Kuehne. The series capitalizes on UNT’s internationally recognized programs and faculty engaged in issues such as military history, political science, economics, sustainability, logistics, cyber security and engineering. UNT’s reputation for excellence in these fields uniquely positions it as a leader in the global conversation on national and economic security.

The next presentation of the UNT Kuehne Speaker Series, scheduled for noon May 6, 2014, features author and geopolitical analyst Robert D. Kaplan. Kaplan was named one of the world’s “Top 100 Global Thinkers” by Foreign Policy magazine for his work including The Revenge of Geography: What the Map Tells Us About Coming Conflicts and the Battle Against Fate.
