UNT mezzo-soprano named Presser Scholar

UNT’s College of Music has named mezzo-soprano Alyssa Narum the 2013-14 Presser Scholar. She received the $4,800 Presser Scholarship. The Presser Undergraduate Scholar Award is presented annually to a student entering his or her senior year who has shown extraordinary musical and academic accomplishments.

UNT researcher developing advanced forensic tool for military labs

A forensic tool being developed by UNT professor Dr. Guido Verbeck could soon make the analysis of evidence faster and more accurate, giving military investigators the upper hand in the wars against drugs and terror.

UNT professor working with Corning Inc. to improve glass materials

Dr. Jincheng Du received a National Science Foundation grant to study ways to improve the properties of glass materials using sophisticated modeling techniques.
