Thank you to all of the corporate sponsors that participated in the UNT Career Center “Scrappy Goes to Work” cake decorating contest! Cakes were judged on use of theme, taste, difficulty of techniques, and overall appearance. Congratulations to NV Cupcakes of Corinth for winning first place, Sweet Cakes for winning second place and Hyatt Regency DFW for winning third place! Their cakes are shown below.

Mentor Match

Career Mentor Match is a database of alumni who have volunteered to assist UNT students with career development questions. Students will select mentors that share similar career, academic and/or cultural interests.  By sharing accomplishments, insights and connections, a career mentor can help open important doors for professional growth and networking.

Take Flight

Connect with UNT Students Over Spring Break (March 19-23)!

Sign up to be a Take Flight/Job Shadow Host.  Take Flight has been designed to assist students in their career exploration and development by matching them with hosts working in a career field of interest. Students that participate in Take Flight will be able to:

   • Determine how this experience fits in with their career development plan

   • Clarifies their career goals and assess if this is a career that they wish to pursue

   • Develop a better understanding of all aspects involved in a job. Students can observe not only
     job characteristics and responsibilities, but also what each profession requires on a day-to-day

Take Flight/Job Shadow Host Role:

   • Provide students with a safe learning environment focusing on career exploration

   • Prepare a schedule of activities for the student(s)

   • Complete an online survey after the job shadow
