“The Wall”
9 p.m. Thursdays and 9:30 p.m. Saturdays through Fall 2011
UNT Sky Theater, located in the Environmental Education, Science and Technology Building

The UNT Sky Theater will be presenting “The Wall,” a planetarium show set to the historic 1979 album of the same name by British rock group Pink Floyd. The program was created by Aaron McEuen at the Utah-based Starlight Productions, which creates planetarium shows for venues around the world. Tickets are $6 for UNT students, faculty and staff with UNT ID and $7 for the general public. Only cash or check is accepted.

Beneath Cognition
Through October 1
UNT Art Gallery in UNT Art Building

Inspired by the work of three contemporary American artists, Beneath Cognition combines artworks in varied media that convey, from unique viewpoints, a sense of knowing that lurks just beneath the surface of thought, action, or emotion. With these works, the artists provide moments or glimpses of understanding that temporarily take us away from our own lives, only to deposit us back with heightened awareness of self and circumstance.

Garth Fagan Dance
8 p.m. September 22
Margo Jones Performance Hall at Texas Women’s University

The internationally acclaimed Garth Fagan Dance — led by artistic director Garth Fagan, the Tony and Olivier award-winning choreographer of Broadway’s The Lion King — will showcase new works and revivals in celebration of its 40th anniversary season.

$30 for general public; $15 for faculty, staff and seniors and non-UNT students; free for UNT students with ID
