UNT Career Center’s Mentoring programs

UNT’s Career Center is providing many ways for alumni to connect with students.  Mentor Match is a mentoring database that pairs alumni with students who have career development questions.  Students can select mentors through the Eagle Network , who share their similar career, academic or cultural interests.  The program provides opportunities for informational interviews, e-mail networking, resume and cover letter critiques and mock interview sessions.

“UNT alumni can be valuable resources for students wishing to explore career possibilities,” says Alison Delicati, Assistant Director of the Career Center. “Alumni can give that real-world, career perspective that students find beneficial when making career decisions.”

Another program, Mentor-On-Duty, allows students the opportunity to meet one-on-one for 15 to 30 minutes with an alumna or alumnus in an occupation of their choice. Alumni can participate on campus most Thursdays during the fall semester.

To participate in any of the above activities, please contact Nancy Eanes, Employer Development Coordinator at or at 940-565-2706. For more information on the Career Center,  check out

The programs, Alumni Preferred Partners and Student Savings Club, are available now to all UNT students and alumni at no cost. Discounts are redeemed by showing a valid alumni member card or college ID when making a purchase.  Some discounts require a coupon or online code, which are available from the programs’ websites.  The Student Savings Club also includes many national and online discounts that students receive as cash back on an existing debit or credit card.  Cash back discounts are only available for students.
